Making video learning easy in ClickView - Ollie Reeve

Making Video Learning Easy

Using ClickView

I use ClickView a lot on the L3 film course. Many students do not have TV licences or subscriptions to VOD services. So, I can set them weekly homework to watch a classic film e.g. back to the future on ClickView and then I get them to reflect on the film and do a mini review for the week after. The watching of the film is homework and the write up is done as part of their scheduled online learning. Its massively helpful as students do not need to pay or subscribe for all these other services so it breaks any barriers there and allows all the students to access content that is good for their development.

There are also some excellent filmmaking master classes by Philip Bloom, which if purchased on MZED would cost a few hundred pounds and the second years have found those to be extremely beneficial to their learning.

You can get started with ClickView using this guide on Teachblend
